They clearly overvalue certain stats like FIP in comparison to others.
If a player keeps performing, generally they are just forced to bring them up. They are not going to be like, "CY Young winner, 77 Overall, Tony Gonslin!" Even if his BAPIP and clutch stats remain incredibly high.
I remember when Shohei was leading the league in WAR 3 months into his MVP season, destroying everything, and he was like a 73 on Perfect Team

And that was two updates in, with their justification being his strikeout (as a hitter) and walk (as a pitcher) rates. Then the following two months, with the same strikeout and walk rates, he goes to 90 and then 100.
I just hold onto all the guys who don't go that I thought were going to. Wait until next month and see what their stats are at.
