News & Notes
The winter meetings have a trade between Detroit and the Phillies. Not a blockbuster in terms of the league, but certainly a big trade between the two clubs as they solidify positions in their lineup, including the Tigers who have secured some serious thump.
Interest in Stan Musial now appears to be high from both the Tigers, who are trying to get over the sting of botching their attempt at signing Ted Williams, and the Red Sox who continue to reel after losing Williams to the Yankees.
