Game crashing at start up...
 

In the last 2 days, the game is crashing when loading the league. I decided to pay attention to see at what point it crashes and it's when the "checking database" is running.

Should I delete the db.cfg file in the save games file or any ideas? I couldn't find a post with my problem specifically.

I've spent many hours creating a custom league - three times! It crashed all three times! This is ridiculous. I even uninstalled and reinstalled OOTP 14, and every time it got to the manager creation screen - after hours of work - it crashed. What gives? This is atrocious and inexcuseable.

Now it says "ERROR: 000C:
Path type constant passed to function FOLDER::set() was invalid

I would have expected a lot better from you guys. This is my fifth purchase of OOTP, and rest assured it will be my last unless someone fixes this. VERY angry about this.

What OS are you using?? If it's Windows 7 and you did a default install... you probably don't have permissions to write to your documents folders..
Try starting the game by right clicking the icon and select run as administrator.

And so both of you know, since you are new...it is very very rare that I ever get a crash from this game. In my experience it has been very stable.

Once you get whatever it is that is frustrating you resolved I think you will be quite happy.

Thanks for the advice, but I already tried running the app as an admin. Same result.
