New Schedules: 68 Games for 36 teams, 2017 Appalachian League Schedule Style
Appalachian League has 2 divisions of 5 Teams. I added 2 more divisions of 4 teams to make a 18 teams subleague keeping the characteristics of the league. I doubled it up to accommodate 36 Teams.
All teams play 68 games: 20 3-games series and 2 4-games series. Most of the games are intra-division with all teams playing 6 games (3H/3A) against the teams of the parental division. In the 5-teams divisions, one team play 8 games against 1 team of the parental division (4H/4A).
Never more than 21 games played without a day off. No home stand or road trips longer than 10 games. Season start on a Thursday (June 19 or after), season ends end of August/early September. No All-Star game.
It seems very complicated to make sure every team plays the same number of games at home or away against all their opponents. So I made 30 Schedules to have a nice variety of matchups over the years.
