1910 PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE
Teams:
Los Angeles Angels
Oakland Oaks
Portland Beavers
Sacramento Sacts
San Francisco Seals
Vernon Tigers
Schedule Characteristics:
SCHEDULE type="ILN_BGY_G225_T6_C_" inter_league="0" balanced_games="1" games_per_team="225" start_month="3" start_day="30" start_on_weekday="4"
Each team plays between 206 and 225 games. Teams play each other between 34 and 52 times during the season.
Season starts on May 30 and ends on November 6. Double-headers on holidays - Decoration Day (5/30), Independence Day (7/4), Labor Day (9/5), Admission Day (9/9 - California), and Columbus Day (10/12) - and on most Sundays. Weekday games start at 3:00. Weekend games start at 1:00. Double-header games start at noon and 3:00.
A typical (and ridiculously long) PCL schedule, with most series going from Tuesday-Sunday, although Los Angeles and Vernon occasionally play Wednesday-Monday. As with the
1912 PCL schedule , the wide discrepancy in games played is the result of Portland and Sacramento playing only single games at home on Sundays - all other teams play double-headers. The breakdown (away/home) is as follows:
Los Angeles - 110/114 = 224
Oakland - 106/118 = 224
Portland - 95/111 = 206
Sacramento - 129/84 = 213
San Francisco - 112/113 = 225
Vernon - 105/117 = 222
