Schedule Characteristics:
SCHEDULE type="ILN_BGY_G145_T6_C_" inter_league="0" balanced_games="1" games_per_team="145" start_month="5" start_day="5" start_day_of_week="3"
Teams play 145 games. Teams play either 72 or 73 home games. Teams play each other from 27 to 32 times during the season.
Season starts on May 5 and ends on September 7. Weekday and Saturday games start at 7:00. Double-header games (every holiday and Sunday) start at noon and 3:00.
The league played a split schedule, but my source (
Sporting News, 2/27/36) doesn't say when the split occurred. My best guess is that it was either after the games of July 2 or the double-headers on July 5. The league scheduled its all-star game on July 15, one of the two off-days in the entire season. The schedule doesn't list Bartlesville playing at Ponca City on July 2, even though the other teams play on that date. I assumed that was a misprint.
