52 team schedule
Hi, can anyone please design schedules for these two set-ups? Both are 52 team schedules.
Config 1 2 leagues 1 Division each 26 teams per division No Interleague play No All-Star Games. Each team plays each other 6 times (3 h, 3 a) Prefer 3 game series where possible All games to be played at night Config 2 1 League 4 Divisions 12 teams, 12 teams, 14 teams, 14 teams No interdivision play No Allstar game 12 team division play each other 16 times (11 x 16 = 176) (8h 8a) 4 x 3 game, 2 x 2 game series 14 team divisions play each other 14 times (14 x 13 = 182) (7h 7a) 2 x 3 game series, 2 x 4 game series (not fussed on this one, do 4 x 2 if needed) All games to be played at night Seasons for all 4 divisions to finish on or around the same date, starting date doesn't mate, either does the finish date, as long as they all finish around the same date. # 52 team schedule, 150 games # Designed for the following configuration: # 1 subleague with 2 divisions, each with 26 teams # # # 6 games against 25 other teams in division (3H/3A) # no interdivision games # # # Schedule considered balanced since opponents played exactly equally # # Two divisions are mirror images of each other # # # Teams play two 3-game series per week # All teams have one offday each week, either Monday or Thursday # # No homestands or roadtrips longer than 12 games # # All game times set at 7:05pm # # Season begins first Monday on or after April 1 # Season end late September # # No All-Star Game set and no league-wide offdays # |

A note about the different number of games. I believe it will work okay, in that the game will recognize the season is over when it is set to be. But I think you need to set the number of games parameter in the setup to 182 (that is what I plan to use in the file parameters). The only problem I think is that the magic number will not be figured correctly for the 176-game divisions. I am not completely sure about all that, but I am pretty sure. It should be just the same as if one game was forgotten or deleted from the schedule file (which is a way this could be tested). |

if you can figure all 4 divisions to start and end on the same day that would be great. If it's easier for the lighter schedule to start a week later, this is fine too. Go with whichever is easier. The magic number thing doesn't really bother me as I tend to sim the season anyway. Again, go with whichever format is easier. If it's easier, Have the Division 1 and 2 teams play a home and away series (3h 3a) from series against 1 team from the opposite division to make them 182 game schedules as well.

THere's an error with the schedule you posted. I believe it's because you have the structure as 1 league x 2 divisions, when it's actually 2 single division leagues

Thank you for this. Just in time to set-up the league in OOTPX too.

cannot seem to get it to import properly have set up the league as described:
12 - 12 - 14 - 14 yet it says the structure of the schedule is different to that of the league. All Settings are identical as well. Last edited by muted79; 06-04-2009 at 02:56 AM. |

I know this is an old post but I'm having trouble using the 150 game schedule in OOTP 17, any suggestions? I've tried modifying everything.
