2S (each w/ 14 teams), 3D, NOT balanced, no IL
I have looked everywhere I can think of but cannot find this schedule. I am hoping that someone can point me to it or can create it.
Balance = 0, Interleague = 0 If possible, I would like the season to run 168 days, which will probably mean a lot of doubleheaders. Thank you, Charles |

How many teams per division? 5/5/4? (order matters!)
This is what I see as the best option for game layout: 5-TEAM DIVISIONS: 18 games against each team in the division, and 10 against each in the other divisions. (18*4=72, 10*9=90 for 162) Those ten might be divided 3/3/4 (in which case there would be 6 at one park and 4 at the other), or 3/3/2/2 (which makes 5/5 easy). 4-TEAM DIVISION: 20-21 games against each team in the division, with 62 being the total number, and 10 against each team in the other two divisions. (62 + 10*10 for 162). They would play two division opponents 21 times, which would be best served as 3 3-game series and 3 4-game series, and the other 20 times, which would be 4 3-game series and 2 4-gamers. This is a pretty difficult one overall, but I think I can get it done eventually. Does everything above sound alright? EDIT: It can be fit into 168 days for sure, but I agree that there should be some doubleheaders scheduled to add to the small number of off days. I see a way to do it having each team play between 6 and 8 doubleheaders throughout the season. Does that feel like about the right number? Last edited by Ruwisc; 08-27-2015 at 04:42 PM. |

Here it is.
28 teams in two subleagues, six divisions (5/4/5; 5/4/5) - 162 games The schedule works slightly differently for teams in 5-team divisions and 4-team divisions. In a 5-team division: 18 games against division opponents (9H/9A - 36H/36A in total) 10 games against non-division opponents: against the teams in the 4-team division and two teams from the other 5-team division, this is accomplished with two 3-game series and one 4-game series (4H/6A or 6H/4A - 30H/30A in total) Against the remaining 3 teams in the other 5-team division, there is a bit of a quirk. They will play two 3-game series against those teams, one in each city. The remaining 4 games will be played as two single-day doubleheader "series", one in each city. This was necessary to keep the overall length of the season low. (In a few situations, this manifests itself as a five-game series - mostly because I didn't think about this possibility when placing doubleheaders and it was too late to remove them when I noticed.) (5H/5A - 15H/15A in total) That makes for a total of 6 doubleheaders for these teams during the season. For the 4-team divisions, things are simpler, but there are still quirks. 21 games against 2 of 3 division opponents (11H/10A and 10H/11A) 20 games against the other division opponent (10H/10A) 10 games against teams in the other two divisions (4H/6A or 6H/4A - 50H/50A in total) Because of the large number of four-game series played by these teams, any 4-game series played within the division will include a doubleheader to finish the series in 3 days. That means these teams will play 8 doubleheaders during the season. That gives them two extra off days, but I think the extra doubleheaders even them out. Hope everything works out with this one - I had to change up some things manually at the very end, so there may still be problems, but I think everything will work as expected. EDIT: Due to an error in this schedule, it's been reuploaded lower down in the thread. Everything in this post still applies. Last edited by Ruwisc; 08-31-2015 at 11:13 PM. |

The one issue is that this should be set to start on Friday, not Monday.

Game 220 is listed as being on Day 19, it should be Day 18. This leads to the teams both playing three-team doubleheaders on Day 19.

That's a good catch. It really should be on day 17 - that's supposed to be a series with a Wednesday doubleheader and a Thursday off day for both teams. That's one of the games that I moved around manually - figures that I didn't get them all. I'm looking through right now to make sure none of the others are misplaced, and I'll reupload.

I haven't found anything else after looking through my list of games that were manually scheduled, so I'm going to reupload. You're certainly free to keep testing, but I'm calling it done for now. That game has been moved to day 17, and is now listed as game 200.
